ThreatLabz 2026: Frontier AI Readiness Report
Across hundreds of enterprise organizations assessed in H1 2026, including Fortune 500 companies in financial services, healthcare, manufacturing, energy, and eight additional industries, the average Frontier-AI-Readiness Score was 37 out of 100. Almost all organizations (91%) had publicly reachable AI infrastructure, and none of them (100%) had identity-based access controls in place. Additionally, not a single organization inspected enough encrypted traffic for its security stack to function as designed. The average enterprise was effectively blind to 64% of the data traversing its own network, and none had closed the gap between owning defensive capabilities and actually operating them.
